Bob Pion
Founder
Don Pion
Dealer Principle
After a long automotive career, Robert Pion founded Bob Pion Pontiac in June 1977. In 1991, based on Bob Pion's leadership, philosophy and success Bob Pion Pontiac acquired the Springfield GMC Truck franchise to create a dual GM franchise at the Front Street location in Chicopee Mass. With the onset of increased inventory and a need to service larger vehicles, Bob relocated the dealership to Memorial Drive in Chicopee Mass. This new location provides an improved service facility as well as increased inventory capabilities.
In 1992 Bob Pion decided to retire and pass the baton to his son Donald Pion, now the Dealer Principle and President. The growth continued and after much success as a dual GM, franchise owner General Motors granted Don Pion the Buick franchise in 1995, rounding out the dealerships offerings.
